Bus Stop...

I have a special place in my heart for our local bus drivers. It's called the pits of hell! Bus drivers piss me off. They drive down the main drag at 50 miles per hour (the speed limit is 35). They pull right out into traffic without any regard for other vehicles. They take their big ass buses down our little bitty streets and scowl at you when you won't move your car so they can complete the turn they should have never started in the first goddamn place. They don't yield to pedestrians, they block traffic, and they constantly drive with their hazard flashers on.

When they crash, they refuse to give any information until their supervisor arrives. I have seen bus drivers flat out refuse to provide their driver's license at the scene of a collision. State law says you must provide your driver's license to a peace officer upon request. When you give them the option of giving up their license or going to jail, they generally get the picture.

One of these days, I'm going to get my radar out fast enough, and I'm going to cite myself a bus driver. It hasn't happened yet, but I assure you, it will. Hell, I may even impound a bus. That would make my freakin' YEAR!

I'd love to see that happen, too. I can't stand it when they hang out into the street and mess up traffic even more during rush hour. I've been told by a friend's husband who drives a bus that they are TAUGHT to do that so they can get back into traffic. What a steaming load of horse manure.

Hope you nail one!! They piss the hell out of me, too. Especially when I was living in Memphis...they have no concept of how to drive down there! Geez...even sidewalks were a roadway to them.
