Some of my academy instructors used to write quotes up on the board at the beginning of classes. I had enough presence of mind to write them down, and here are some of the more pertinent.

Excellent quotes!! And great reminders on how to live our lives.
Mr. Bray, a firearms instructor gave me my favorite, "If you don't have any cover, build a wall of lead."
