The Law of Averages...

It is said the average peace officer applies for the job eleven times before finally being hired. I went through my application history, and found that my current employer was my eleventh application. Go figure.

It took me 2 years and about a department tryout each weekend before I finally made it to where I am right now. Of course, being a very small female who only weighs 110 pounds and stands maybe 5'3" sure didn't help my odds either! ;)
I do know of one officer who it took 7 years - but then again, he was also very picky about which departments he applied for.
