First Impressions...

First day of school. Parents standing around with our youngsters waiting for school to start. I have a tendency to size up the other parents, and I usually decide right there if I don't like the looks of certain people. First impressions, ya' know?

One of the parents was wearing a t-shirt that really caught my attention. It had a picture of a big bowl of noodles with a pair of chopsticks, and in big red letters it said:

"Did you eat an extra bowl of stupid today?"

What the hell kind of message is that passing to our kids when a parent shows up at school with shit like that written on his shirt.

I had to look again to make sure it wasn't the same idiot who wore the "Don't Give a Rat's Ass" shirt to school last year.

Did I eat an extra bowl of stupid today?

Nope. But apparently you did, you asshole.

Then there was the afternoon...

A fella showed up with a shirt that said

"Pimpin' Ain't Easy."

This on a fifty year old fat-ass white boy riding a beater bicycle. "Pimpin'" my ass.

And there was also a skank ho "mom" picking up a kid. The "mom" was wearing a skirt so short, if it was any shorter you could have seen fur. I'd hate to think what the kids see from their level, but I'm sure that never crossed her mind.

Not good first impressions.

It shoulda said "Tweakin' Ain't Easy" if it was a 50 y/o WMA on a bike!

Geez....adults sometimes are worse than little kids!
Today I actually saw an old man with white hair (prob 60's) driving a souped up, tricked out lower-rider SUV with those stupid little extra-wide tires. He was all about revving thru traffic and looking "cool." I just rolled my eyes and wished I could have slapped him upside the head. Definitey a V-8 momemnt for him!

sounds like the parents entering our visiting center.

At a school, though? Damn, sometimes I second guess having children, but then I remember somebody gotta put some good ones out there.

I hear you loud and clear. When I see the people. I want to throw up.

So what was the "teeth to fingers" ratio? Sounds like it was pretty low...Somewhere between the Democratic National Convention and a Willie Nelson concert.

Hmm..totally different from my first impressions last year. All these mom at eight-thirty in the morning in full makeup, dressed to the nines. Just to drop their kids off and then go home to take care of the other ones. I had to laugh. I guess pimpin ain't easy!
