Why's Everybody Always Picking on Me?

Now I apparently have decided to pick on commuters... or so I've been told.

Yes, I do make most of my traffic stops between the hours of 5-10 AM and 3-7PM Monday through Friday, but it's not to intentionally screw the commuting public. It's just that that's when the majority of over-stressed, uptight, in a hurry, idiot drivers are on the road.

It's not that I have anything against commuters. Hell, I'm one myself. It's just that we have to hunt when the ducks are out.

Besides, commuters seem to be some of the world's worst drivers. And, if you don't drive like a total jackass, I won't have a reason to stop you, now will I?

But I can sit in one place and see drivers speeding up the right hand lane, just to cut in front of fifteen other cars at the front of the line, without signaling, while flipping the driver behind them the bird for honking at them because their bumper just passed within inches of the front of that person's car, all with a cell phone firmly planted in their ear and no seat belt. How can that person claim I am picking on them when they go so far out of their way to make themselves such an inviting target?

Next accusation please...

It's always "somebody elses fault". Geez people need to get a clue.

Never forget, you are the first person they'll call when they have a problem;)

Have you heard the "why don't you stop them? they're speeding, too" defense?

One chick on Speeders argued that the cop should be stopping ALL the speeders on her highway, not just her. Didn't work in court either:)

I just tell them I can only stop one at a time, and today is not your lucky day.

Yes, damn you. Quit picking on people. HA! People never want to take responsibility for their own actions.

The anwser is real simple. Follow the rules!

Just want to say that I for one would HATE to live in a world without cops . I want someone to be there when I call for help . So when I get pulled over[got a heavy foot] I'm polite and respectful and take my citations down to the DMV and I pay them. Thanks for doing a primarily thankless job.I don't want your job but I'm sure glad so many of you are willing to take it on.

Awww....how nice to have someone think you are "picking" on them! :) lol. Yeah, when you make it SO obvious, it is a given you WILL get pulled over.

So....are you saying that if you saw me driving petal to the metal to each traffic light, turning corners on 2 wheels, smoking the tires too, tunes cranking, tons of smoke coming out the windows, also windows so black you can't see me, windshield broken, and pretty much everything else on the car.. that you'd pull me over????? That's picking on me now!!!!!!!!!! hee hee

Curious, if you watch in the same place regularly, do you recognize certain cars/drivers on their way to work... maybe take notice one day, watch for them the next? Repeat offenders/Habitually bad drivers... ?
Thanks for doing what you do...
Regards

Actually, yes. I often sit in the same places at the same times for several days in a row.

And, yes. I do see the same drivers daily, doing the same dumbass things.

As such, I don't trip when I am writing one driver a ticket and I see another driver do something stupid. Because I'll probably see that other guy tomorrow.

People don't often change their driving habits in 24 hours.

If it wasn't so maddening, it'd almost be funny.
