Happy Valentine's Day...

My Valentine is a very special person.

She has been a rock when I needed support, and a feather when I needed a soft touch.

When I told her my life-long dream was to be a police officer, she knew what she was in for and didn't shy away.

When I said I was going to go back to school, and start working only on the weekends, just so I could get into that law enforcement career I always wanted...

She said "Do it".

When I was in the police academy, and had homework every night and twice on weekends...

When I put the academy first, and her and our boys second...

She stepped up and carried my weight.

When I had to work nights for eight months, because I was the rookie...

She understood and supported me.

When I call and say "It's pretty bad. I don't know when I'm going to be home"...

She waits up for me.

No matter what, she has always been supportive.

Always beside me, never behind me and never below me.

The voice of reason when I am being unreasonable.

The one who can finish my sentences, speak my thoughts.

The one who has become an extension of me, and I of her.

The one who cooks me gourmet meals, when I could burn water.

The one I never want to be without.

My wife.

I love you very much Mrs. "Smith".

Happy Valentine's Day.
