Kids Say the Darndest..... Well.... You Know...

The scene:

The middle of the forest during a recent camping trip. Tents set up nearby, grill on fire for dinner to be prepared, Moose and Snake sitting in their folding chairs around the campfire, supposedly enjoying a good book or some such.

I walked up behind the Missus and put my chin on her shoulder. I said something to her, although I don't remember exactly what it was. Probably something to the effect of "You have a mosquito on your neck".

I lifted her hair and gave her a little peck on the back of her neck (which always makes her cringe), perhaps accompanied by a quick nibble on the earlobe.

From behind me I hear Snake pipe up with "Geez! Get a tent!"

I was laughing so hard I almost rolled out of the camp site....

Ha! You should respond with "How do you think you got here." My parents used to say that to me... I wonder why i'm screwed up (kidding!)

Because a tent would give you so much privacy. ;)

It makes her cringe? Like in a bad way??? The back of my neck paralyzes me with tingles down my spine. Like being tasered in a good way. :)

You never know what children will say.

No, Sister, NOT in a bad way...

Maybe I should have said "tense up" instead of cringe...

Sometimes she even shivers...
