Yet another phenomenon has captured my attention of late...

Four times in the past two weeks I have seen a car stopped at a stop light and watched the driver put their car in park, get out and walk to the trunk to get something, then walk back up and get back in the car.  All while the car is sitting in the traffic lane in the middle of the street.  Two of them were just getting back in their cars when the traffic ahead of them was already moving on a green light.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who think this is perfectly normal and okay.

I personally think it's idiotic.

It's just another example of people who think their time is so incredibly valuable that they should not have to pull over to the side of the road to deal with their business.

Just my opinion...

I've seen people do this too. It's not a ticket-able offense?

I suppose there are things I could cite them for. Impeding traffic, walking on the roadway other than in a crosswalk, something.

Unfortunately blatant stupidity is not yet illegal.

You wouldn't have a citation book BIG enough if it was;)
