I went to lunch with Mrs. Smith and The Moose yesterday at Fresh Choice.
While we were eating, another family came in and my attention was drawn to the five year old boy's clothing.
He was wearing camo shorts...
and shit kickers.
What a combination.

My daughters are always dress correctly. My wife is very picky when it comes to how myself and the girls dress. I have no fashion sense.
Pardon my ignorance, what are "shit kickers"?
Shit kickers would be another name for cowboy boots.
OH! Okay, thanks! In that case, OH MY GOODNESS!!! LOL
I have heard parents claim their children have the right to do whatever when it comes to clothes and hair. I say, YOU are the parent and that means YOU are in charge...NOT the kid!! But some parents just seem to want to be buddy-buddy with their kids and not hurt their feelings, I guess. *rolling my eyes*
I do usually let my son pick out his own clothes, however if it's too outrageous I do veto. But my son will wear button down "dress" shirt with "swishy" pants. I think some freedom is okay. One thing I won't budge on though is his hair. Until he's about 10 or so, he has no say in his hair.
Our boys have get to pick their clothing out. However, they've been well schooled in what is/isn't ok to wear. They usually make good choices.
