I do not know how Barack Obama will perform as President of the United States. In fact, nobody does. I must now, however, set aside my opinions and my doubts and support the man. I did not vote for him. I still have doubts about his abilities and his plans. He still has not adequately explained HOW he is going to do all of the things he claims he will do, or WHERE the money will come from.
I will not, however, stoop to the level of those around me, and begin showing disrespect toward him. I will not make him out to be an idiot just because he says something outlandish. I will not call him names. I will not boo him when the time comes for him to leave office, as the masses in Washington D.C. did to George W. Bush this morning. I did not care for Mister Bush as a president, but I still had to respect him, because he was still my president.
I may not have chosen Mister Obama, but he is now my president for at least the next four years, and he will have my respect, just as with every other president.
Let's hope he leads as well as he speaks. Good luck Mister President.

The behavior this morning was very sad and downright disappointing.
I respect the position, just not the person holding it.
I am in full agreement with Firelady!
I agee with Firelady also. The only reason Barry is such a good speaker is his teleprompter.
We'll see how much people respect him after we get attacked again...

That may be, but not everyone can read a TelePrompter as well as he can!!
That's true, Smitty!
They don't call him the "Teleprompter Jesus" for nothing...
