This is just a note to some of the old timers at my agency...
Your shift ends at 0700 hours.
Not 0655.
Not 0645.
0700.
Thanks.

The personal views of a California Peace Officer and widower. Be ye forewarned, not everything on this page is fit for children, liberals or Berkeley residents. I don't expect everyone to agree with everything I say, but personal attacks and irrelevant bullshit will not be tolerated. Now, on with it...

Your agency, too?
I'm sure there are people everywhere who are in the locker room changing five minutes before the end of the shift, or who refuse to take details in the last fifteen minutes of their shift.
As of today, I am no longer with my agency. I quit.
I was offered employment last night and I start later this morning. A completely different career field, too.
A new beginning. A new adventure.
You have to do whatever is right for you.
Thanks.....it feels weird being a civilian again. Very weird. But I think I am going to be happy with the new career field. Still a LOT of Law Enforcement involvement - in fact, one of the persons I spent 1/2 my day talking with today is a gang officer that I worked with when taking down that drug dealer in my neighborhood back in January.
And the other members on my team are great to work with! Super sweet and outgoing - and we are all starting this program from the ground up together. Totally a team effort.
And on my friday its even earlier. haa haa
