Dude, really?

We went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner this evening and I saw something that really made me wonder about the thought processes of certain other human beings.

I went into the men's room to, well, umm, use the men's room. As I walked in something caught my eye. Sitting there on the bathroom counter was a Styrofoam box with someone's left overs in it. On the BATHROOM counter.

IN THE BATHROOM!

Dude! Really? Seriously?

Taking food into a PUBLIC RESTROOM?!

Do you have any idea what is floating in the air in there just waiting to settle upon your warm, moist food and... well... culture?

Damn. Now I have to go eat MY dinner...

I dunno. I think it's gross too, but I've also seen a number of studies that show bathrooms tend to be cleaner than other common areas, simply because they're cleaned so often. We're a phobic enough culture that we think if there's piss in the room it must be dirty, no matter how well and how frequently it's cleaned. Then somehow we think the main dining room - which isn't cleaned nearly as often or as well - is going to be less germy, just because there's no piss.

All that said, I'd be grossed out too. I'm not taking my food into the bathroom, much less leaving it out of sight while I'm in a stall!

That's just disgusting. but not really surprising either...I've seen people actually eating in bathrooms. People are gross.

At least they left it there. I sincerely hope they didn't try returning for it when they remembered where it was.

Wow, that's not cool I bet that person must of been really buzzed or hungry to carry food into restroom.
