Dropping Names... and Dimes...

We have some issues with the schools here in Smithville. Lots of kids are bussed in from surrounding cities, and they tend to bring their ghetto fabulous attitude along with them. These little turds feel like they can do whatever they want, and when they get stopped by the police it's only because they happen to be black.

Of course, it has nothing to do with the bonehead things they do. Heaven knows I would NEVER stop a white kid who did the same thing right? Bullshit.

Anyhow, I stopped a group of kids yesterday who should have been in school and asked them why they weren't. None could give me a straight answer, so I took them back up to the middle school to give them to the School Resource Officer.

One of the kids pipes up and says "If my uncle "John Doe" was here, he'd let us go." This particular John Doe happens to be a former officer of ours.

First off, why would you even bring up your police officer uncle in a situation like this. You're not getting a ticket, you're not getting arrested, you're just getting taken back to school where you belong. Are you saying your uncle would let you go traipsing around town and not take you back to school? That makes your uncle look pretty bad.

Secondly, your uncle no longer works for us. Were you not aware that he got fired and isn't even a Smithville police officer anymore? That either makes you look stupid because you weren't paying attention, makes it look like your uncle wasn't honest about the situation with his family, or makes it seem that you rarely even see your uncle and just thought it would be a good idea to drop his name because you thought he was still a police officer. Any way you cut it, that wasn't a good name to drop.

I told the kid to quit dropping names and stay in school where he belongs. What I really wanted to say was "Since you obviously want nothing to do with school, learning, or becoming a productive member of society, why not go on back to Johnstown and let the kids here who DO want an education get one instead of having to deal with your ignorant ass sucking up the oxygen they could be using to enrich their brains."

But I refrained.

As a parting shot, the loudmouth of the group said "I bet you ain't gonna go git them white breads that's smokin' blunts in the park!"

Well, since you dropped that dime, I assure you I will.

And I did, but that's another story...

And refer back to your entitlement post. These kids think because they were born in the minority they are entitled to use it as a "get out of jail free" card, as it were. In fact, I'm sure kids think they should be able to play their age as a factor for dismissal. Turd is the most accurate terminology...

Strange. I've heard many a black person on TV complain that the white officer stopped them because of race, but I don't recall ever seeing a white person tell a black officer he was stopping them for the same reason...

I believe that public school educators should be required to teach annually a course in personal accountability. It is tiresome to hear all of the excuses children and adults come up with for why they broke the law.

The race card gets old, too. In a large neighboring city, the local police are scrutinized to such a degree that they are looking at ways to make the tall white officers not seem so intimidating. What?!!!

I thought there was an anti-snitching code? Maybe it doesn't apply when the person you're snitching on is a different race...
