So, after nearly drowning in the gutters yesterday, I stopped a fella for a cell phone violation today. I saw the phone as he drove by, and noticed he was driving rather poorly. He never even saw me, so involved was he in his conversation.
I contacted him and got his stuff, then I walked back to scratch out the ticket. As I walked back up to the car I noticed a particular bumper sticker amidst his sea of bumper stickers...
"HANG UP AND DRIVE!"
Sweet...

do as I say not as I do. Sweet! I was against a law concerning cell phones and driving. But I have changed my mind approximately 80% of the people I pass on my bike are on a cell phone. Most are driving like an idiot or drunk. I have had some near misses on the bike so Yeah, I changed my mind, I think Texas needs to come up with a law concerning them, only if it is "no cell phones in the left lane".
Typical. They think the rule applies to everyone but themselves.
